Another successful year at LaPetite! Traveling was great - no snow or ice or bad roads etc.
Skiing was great on Friday and Saturday morning and then it deteriorated. Rained Sat afternoon -
most of us stayed off the slopes.
Bob and Susan went out, did Trail 4 and part of Trail 2 (I think) and then went tubing. They were
in one tube and got tossed out on the way down. Susan got the worst end of it. She had several scrapes
on her face. Nurse Linda had her icing her eye, by dinner time it didn't look too bad.
Food was good of course.

We had some new faces --- Dave and Rosie Trithart (they've come once or twice before), Debbi Nikkari brought her
daughter, , and Judy Kepes and John Bean.
Friday afternoon was the best -- excellent snow conditions, and not too warm or too cold.
Saturday morning was also very good, warming up a bit, but still very good conditions. For the first time in
several years, they had plenty of snow, deep enough for even the very difficult trails that have been closed
sometimes in the past.
Unfortunately, Saturday afternoon right after lunch, it began a very light freezing mist. But within an hour or
so, the trails were glare ice.
Susan and I decided it would be a great time to go down the tubing hill ---- not so smart. We lost control half
way down, going backwards. Susan took several abrasions on her face from the ice. Nothing serious, but she left
blood on the tubing hill !!
A few of us tried to go out Sunday morning just for a walk on the snow shoe trails. It was not worth it.
So, the skiing was good while it lasted, but was cut short. Otherwise, we had good food, fun and great company.
