It was stated that dues would be gratefully accepted at tonight’s meeting. Members were reminded that dues are $15.00 a couple or $7.50 per person. Old business:
There was a brief discussion about a subject that came up at the May meeting, regarding a telephone call that was received from a lady who announced that she was going to join the Ski Club. When the person was asked how they found out about the Ski Club they said they found us my scanning the web site. The members all agreed that this club is a social ski club, and that membership was available only on an invitation basis by one of the members.

New business:

Our next meeting will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2005, at 5:00 PM, at Shirley & Bob Metcalf. A turkey will be the main dish as usual for this Thanksgiving meeting. Shirley said she would like to do all the calling for this meeting because she liked calling when it is at her home.

Next, the Metcalfs asked someone to please volunteer to host the Christmas party? Everyone was reminded that we do not have a meeting at this festive event. The club dues pay for the ham or whatever main dish the hosts decide to prepare. And we have our Christmas Tree Ornament exchange which is usually the highlight of the evening, along with the singing of the 12 days of Christmas. The Metcalfs usually like to host the Christmas party but this year they would be in Houston for Christmas.

Cathy and Bill Petersen quickly volunteered to host the Christmas party on Saturday, December 10th at 5:00 pm. The callers for this meeting will be Joanne Partch and Joan McGrath.

The Metcalfs are planning to organize 2 ski trips this year:

Bob Meyer talked about the La Petite Rouge cross country trip which is planned on February 3rd to 5th, 2006, there are two cabins available to accompany 8 couples. 2 couples are committed, there is presently room for 6 more couples that should fill quickly. Contact Bob Meyer prior to the middle of October with your commitments. The deposit is $50 Canadian for a total of $179 Canadian per adult.

The Club donated $50 to the Potsdam Holiday Fund and $50 to Hospice in December 2004. The Potsdam Holiday Fund and Hospice donations were tabled until a later date.

A big round of applause was given to Jutta and Joe for hosting the meeting! Joe played the piano magnificently for the group and a few brave soles sang along

There was a motion and a second to adjourn

Respectfully submitted by The Metcalfs.
